Pay Range - $20 to $28/hour D.O.E.
Per Diem of $80/day for days worked if traveling over 60 miles from perm home location.
This location (Tyndall AFB) will also have a Davis Bacon Act supplemental $$ to attach to the assigned base rate qualified for, while working at Tyndall AFB.
Typical duties include:
Installing, but not limited to Card readers, door contacts, motion Rex, Intercoms, Motion Detectors, Glass Breaks, Speakers, Nurse Call lights, Push Buttons, and Patient Stations.
Installing and terminating all Low Voltage cabling.
Terminating, testing, and labeling end-user devices. Comm room build-out.
Utilizing industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques.
Ensuring all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards.
Ensuring plans, specs, and wiring diagrams are adhered to.
Maintaining open communication with direct superior ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
Following and maintaining proper safety practices
Required:
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent
Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge
Experience Requirements:
2+ years in a Tech Role
2+ years' experience in the commercial building construction industry related to: Structured Cabling, Security, Access Control, CCTV, A/V, Paging. Nurse Call, Sound Masking.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have own hand tools.
Must be willing to travel up to 50%
Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time.
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in high places and in confined places.
Work sites vary from finished space interiors to new construction sites. Appropriate dress according to the work environment is required.
Work hours will vary according to individual projects. Some jobs may require weekend shifts.
Because of the unique settings and experience requirements for our Low Voltage opportunities, a 'written knowledge Pre-Questionnaire' may be part of the interview process.
