Job Description Summary

All work done by Contractor shall be in accordance with Owner’s Quality Control Procedures and Inspection and Test Plan requirements.

The Scope of work described below will take place out of the Hartford, CT Danbury CT Stamford CT area. General supervision overseeing the crews who are contracted for the replacement of 115-kilovolt (KV) underground transmission lines (High Pressure Fluid-Filled Transmission lines) To new solid dielectric cross-linked polyethylene (xlpe) lines.

Contractor to provide general supervision for field work completed by Owner’s crews including outside crews but not limited to:
1) traffic planning and set up.
2) distribution cable splicing/terminations
3) distribution cable pulling
4) conduit installation encasement
5) cable training
6) manhole installation
7) project work
8) Safe Work practices
9) work order completed as designed

Qualified to request/hold transmission and distribution clearances); 2-5 years’ experience.

Candidates should have expertise and knowledge with respect to underground, electric, gas, sewer and water as well as excavation of street for utility services. This is not working in sub-station.

Contractor shall review field construction work completed by Owners meet applicable Underground Construction Standards.

Owner shall provide all pertinent documents and forms to Contractor for inspection results to be recorded.

Contractor shall be responsible for the timely completion documentation as requested by the Owners Underground Maintenance and Construction Department at each stage as per Owners Quality Control Procedures and Inspection and Test Plan requirements.

Contractor shall provide Owners Maintenance and Construction Manager, or designee verified inspections, checklist, non-conformance forms, and other requirements per the Owners Quality Control Procedure.

Experience with underground medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure

Street construction, gas, electric and sewer experience required.
