Electrician (High Voltage)

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing operation, maintenance, and repair of interior and exterior electrical systems such as primary and secondary distribution systems, HV switchgears, transformers and receptacles, etc.

Location: Al Jabar Air Base, Kuwait
Compensation: $95,000 - $102,000
**MUST have Secret Security Clearance!**

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, maintain and repair electrical switchgears, power cabling, and transformers.
- Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution at voltages that range from 120v -11KV.
- Mark electrical equipment, motors, and panel boxes to meet NEC requirements.
- Diagnose and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical systems installation malfunctions.
- Complete and maintain records and inspection reports.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and orderly.
- Follow OSHA and NFPA safety requirements.
- Properly use and safeguard government property.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three years' electrical/power production experience.
- Comprehend blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Electrical Engineering degree/certificate.
- Valid US Passport and US Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Able to drive with a manual transmission.
- Pass a medical screening prior to deployment.
- Complete online and hands on CBRN defense training.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft programs.
- Detail oriented with strong, manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
- Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
