Fire Sprinkler Repair Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Sprinkler Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance, test, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $40-$55 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems
- Perform fire sprinkler system repairs, including head replacements, pipe repairs, riser rebuilds, and flow/tamper switch repairs
- Test fire pumps and fire hydrants
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire sprinkler systems
- Conduct flow tests and internal inspections
- Prepare detailed written reports of inspection findings
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations
- Maintain good customer relationships and provide excellent service
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly

Requirements:
- Massachusetts Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2--3 years of experience as a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and codes (NFPA, OSHA)
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in fire sprinkler installation and repair
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Travel:
- 100% regional travel in the greater Boston area.
- Work truck and gas card provided.
- Report to first service area from home and park truck at home at the end of the shift.
- On call rotation -- receive extra compensation while on call.
- Time and a half pay for overtime and answering calls after hours during the week.
- Double pay when responding during the weekend, 3-hrs guaranteed.
- Triple pay when responding during holidays, 3-hrs guaranteed.
