Talascend is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Project Manager-Data Center position located in Ellendale, ND.

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager for our data center projects with a specific focus on medium voltage electrical systems. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data center infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, budgetary constraints, and project timelines. The role will require managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring the medium voltage electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the data center infrastructure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for data center construction and upgrades, focusing on medium voltage electrical systems (e.g., substations, switchgear, transformers, etc.).
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with design teams, contractors, engineers, and vendors for the smooth execution of the project.
Medium Voltage System Integration:
Oversee the integration of medium voltage systems, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and operational standards.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure that medium voltage designs align with the overall data center infrastructure.
Ensure that electrical installations (transformers, switchgear, backup systems) are completed within specifications and regulatory standards.
Risk & Safety Management:
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all electrical systems, including medium voltage, comply with national and international safety standards.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site to avoid accidents and ensure regulatory compliance.
Budget & Financial Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all work is completed within the allocated budget.
Approve and track project expenditures, manage change orders, and ensure cost-control measures are in place.
Monitor resource allocation and optimize efficiencies.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to electrical systems, data center operations, and construction.
Conduct regular quality inspections and address issues promptly.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on all project phases, ensuring proper record-keeping.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Journeyman Electrical license in the state of ND (or reciprocating state)
Experience:
Experience in managing large-scale data center projects, with a preferred focus on medium voltage electrical systems.
Proven experience in medium voltage electrical systems (transformers, substations, switchgear).
Experience working in the data center industry or similar mission-critical facilities.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering, construction management, and the intricacies of medium voltage installations.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent preferred. Other certifications related to electrical safety (e.g., NEC, IEC) are advantageous.
