Site MEP Technical Coordinator (Traveling role - live anywhere)
SALARY $105-$120k
3 weeks on the road / 1 week work from home
Join a dynamic team as a SITE MEP Technical Coordinator and play a crucial role in the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work under the guidance of a Senior MEP Technical Coordinator and collaborate closely with customers to ensure project success. Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Thoroughly review contract documents such as drawings, submittals, equipment lists, and Arc Flash studies to ensure compliance with the design basis.
- Communication: Maintain robust communication with field staff and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement verification processes to confirm systems meet project requirements, including installation practices.
- Project Reporting: Provide updates and information through formal briefings during weekly MEP calls.
- Meeting Participation: Engage in regular project meetings to discuss action items and project timelines.
- Safety Compliance: Understand and adhere to site safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Project Closeout: Manage PMQ and punch list item resolution.
- Inspection Assistance: Support yellow tag inspection processes.
- Professional Representation: Uphold a professional image as a self-motivated, productive, and enthusiastic team member.
- Dependability: Ensure targets are met within set timeframes.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a preference for electrical work. Commissioning experience with data center equipment is a plus.
- Completion of 2 years of trade school, college, or journeyman training.
- Proficiency in Procore software.
- Familiarity with the functionality of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and Switchgear.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints and related building documents, including submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Projects, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe PDF editing.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various business units.
- Openness to travel within the continental United States.
- Preferred Qualifications/Experience: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E training within the first 30 days of employment, First Aid/CPR.
Physical Requirements
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to properly wear PPE to include a 40 Cal suit with a flash hood for extended periods of time.
