Job Scope:
This job involves installing, testing, inspecting, calibrating, and repairing system protection devices and equipment used in electric transmission and distribution systems. This includes working with microprocessor-based relays, circuits, protective controls, switchboards, and other substation equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Performing tasks related to system protection devices.
Testing and calibrating relays and other equipment.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical specifications.
Using relay test sets to verify protective device settings.
Operating computers and software for job functions.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of AC/DC theory and relaying protection.
Ability to use relay test equipment, with familiarity in Doble Protest, SEL AcSELerator, and ENOSERVE RTS being a plus.
A valid driver's license.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
