Inspector Role Description
The Inspector will be the technical expert on-site every day, performing inspections and documenting findings.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct on-site quality inspections based on Quality Department’s checklists.
• Document inspection results and deviations using QCI web-based software.
• Provide photographic evidence of inspections.
• Immediately report any deviations to the Project Manager and Quality Department.
• Communicate additional comments and observations to the Project Manager for project meetings.
Scope of Work
This proposal is in response to client's request to supply QA/QC oversight services for future substation construction projects throughout the client territory for a period of one year. The scope of work includes performing on-site quality inspections to ensure adherence to project construction specifications, design parameters, and client’s construction Design Standards and Procedures. Inspections will be conducted using quality checklists provided by the Quality Department and will be documented utilizing EQuality Control Inspection (QCI) web-based software. Our team will ensure that inspection results, along with photographic evidence, are sent to stakeholders within the allotted timeframe. We commit to responding on-site within 24 hours of notification to perform required inspections. If any deviations from project specifications are identified, our inspectors will immediately contact the Quality Department and Construction Oversight. Critical hold points have been identified where real-time inspections will be necessary, while other inspections can be performed post-construction. The objective of this pilot program is to mitigate the risk of substation construction non-compliance by engaging a third-party QA/QC vendor for on-site inspections and verification. This initiative addresses the evidence of deviations from project specifications that BGE has identified due to a lack of quality oversight. As this is a pilot program, additional services may be requested throughout the performance period based on the evolving needs of the project.
