Contract Length - 1 to 2 years
Locations: AZ, NJ, NY, GA

We follow well-documented procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and thorough planning and testing, so we can manage risk and safeguard ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, perform, and document all commissioning activities (pre-commissioning, through construction, testing - commissioning, energization - project close-out) of various utility substation protection, control, and power circuits in accordance with Client's requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Review wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documents in advance of projects and outages.
Perform troubleshooting and problem analysis associated with protection and control systems and utility substation equipment, including but not limited to: Application Errors and Omissions, Drawing Errors and Omissions, Wiring Errors and Omissions, Settings Errors and Omissions, Equipment Malfunctions, Questionable Apparatus Test Results, Battery Ground Faults.
Participate in project meetings including but not limited to: kickoff meetings, planning meetings, progress meetings, and lessons learned meetings.
Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and project completion reports and documentation that includes project progress, issues or problems, recommendations, test results, and analyses.
Assist in developing project-specific testing and commissioning plans, energization plans, or any other assigned project-specific documentation.
Identify risks and associated mitigation techniques on utility systems and equipment. Develop a Site Risk Assessment to document all high-risk construction and commissioning activities and to formalize the processes of circuit isolation and restoration in a manner that ensures no unintended operations of station equipment and protection systems and personnel safety.
Make certain all applicable tests and/or commissioning activities are performed on every piece of equipment or system in accordance with planning and project documents. Ensure all test results are acceptable and permanently recorded, filed, and distributed properly.
Develop detailed test reports of various types of electrical equipment. Review and approve detailed test reports of various types of electrical equipment.
