[Expediting Manager] T&D Expeditor

6-12 month contract to hire

**NO PER DIEM**

The Staff Expeditor is responsible for managing expediting deliverables for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects from the receipt of an approved purchase order through project closeout.

Key Duties:

- Deliverable Management: Track the receipt, inspection, approval, and return of all contract-required deliverables.
- Production Monitoring: Oversee and report on the supplier's production schedule to ensure milestones are achieved.
- Reporting: Prepare and present schedule updates and status reports to the project team.
- Delay Mitigation: Identify potential fabrication or shipment delays and collaborate with suppliers to resolve them.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure timely transportation and lifting plans in consultation with suppliers, communicating these plans to the job site according to construction sequencing.
- Delivery Management: Schedule and manage deliveries to multiple sites, acting as a liaison between suppliers and site personnel.
- Onsite Management: Oversee material deliveries onsite, report discrepancies, and recommend resolutions.
- Documentation: Ensure the submission of final documentation for the completion of payment milestones.
- Compliance: Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.


Additional Responsibilities:

- Track major equipment delivery dates using Client Supply Chain documentation, reports, and regular communication with vendors.
- Communicate delivery readiness to project managers, site teams, and client stakeholders.
- Track minor material orders, focusing on primary vendors like IRBY/Pepco (substation minor material packager) and Power Line Supply (transmission line material packager).
- Verify BOMs against Purchase Orders for accuracy in item descriptions and quantities.
- Verify the status of quotes and orders, producing reports to assist Project Managers in material readiness meetings.
- Provide detailed reports on purchase order status, lead times, vendor production schedules, updates, delivery dates, and any production or delivery issues.
- Identify and propose workarounds to maintain schedules for the Client’s Materials Management group and Project Teams.
- Maintain knowledge of Transmission Line, Substation, and Communications material and equipment.
- Occasionally visit vendor facilities to verify production readiness.


Qualifications:

- Experience: Required experience in Transmission Line and Substation operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Skills: Proven experience in supply chain, material tracking, or procurement with a successful track record in a procurement organization.
- Proficiency: Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Goal-Oriented: Demonstrated sense of urgency in accomplishing goals.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen


This is an office-based position, not involving field materials management.
