Use a wide range of welding filler metals and welding processes to perform structural welds in all phases of ship construction.
Use Fluxcore (FCAW) welding process and demonstrate ability to pass hands-on test including 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical), and 4G (overhead) using .052 wire on 3/8 inch plate with V Groove and steel backing strip
Set up welding machine and load wire a must.
Weld all positions using both manual and mechanized processes and welds are required to satisfy all nondestructive test requirements (visual inspection).
Perform these functions in environments of extreme heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions within the shipyard environment.
