CTR has an immediate need for Deck Electricians for Shipyard project in Newport News, VA
Long Term/ Full Benefits/ Per Diem available for Non-locals/ Paid Weekly/ OT available
Pay is DOE up to $27.31/hr and 130 a day per diem

Must have three or more years of experience Industrial, Marine or Commercial Nuclear applications.
Must be able to accurately read and make measurements with tools including tape measures and stick rulers
Must be able to read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, schematics, and work packages.
Must have a basic understanding of electrical theory. (DC, AC, Motors)
Have a working knowledge of electrical components in a system (Contactor relays, overload relays, transformers, terminal boards)
Have a working knowledge of schematic symbols (i.e. normally open/closed contacts, normally open/closed switches, timer relay symbols,
pushbuttons,)
Be familiar with LVR (low voltage release) and LVP (low voltage protection)
Must be able to read and utilize test procedures and work documents
Proficient in the use of basic electrical meters and test instruments (volt-ohm meter, clamp-on ammeter, insulation resistance testers, phase
rotation tester, meggers,)
General deck electrical work. (layoff and mount electrical equipment and wireways; install cable penetrations in equipment , bulkheads, decks;
cable installation; cable terminations; cut-in, hook-up)

Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test and background check
