Job Description:
- As a Joiner working on Navy ship construction in a shipbuilding facility in Philadelphia, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing interior woodwork and joinery components on Navy ships.
- Your primary tasks will involve interpreting blueprints, cutting and shaping wood materials, constructing bulkheads, cabinetry, furniture, and other interior structures, and installing them in designated areas of Navy vessels.
- Successful candidates must possess advanced carpentry skills, expertise in joinery techniques, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the precise fit and finish of interior woodwork on Navy ships.
- Working collaboratively with shipyard craftsmen, designers, and project supervisors, you will contribute to the quality craftsmanship and functionality of interior spaces aboard Navy vessels, adhering to project specifications and strict industry standards.
- This role requires precision, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shipbuilding environment to meet project timelines and Navy ship construction requirements.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Joiner or Carpenter specializing in marine construction or shipbuilding projects, particularly on Navy vessels.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, executing complex joinery designs, and fabricating interior woodwork components for ship interiors.
- Advanced skills in woodworking, furniture making, cabinetry construction, and other joinery techniques relevant to Navy ship construction.
- Collaboration skills to work in a team setting, communicate effectively with peers and supervisors, and contribute to the successful completion of shipbuilding projects.
- Commitment to quality workmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with project specifications and Navy ship construction standards.
