What are you working toward?

Based on your work ethic, development and dedication to your role, with support from your local branch and job-site leadership, you will develop and strengthen your skill sets

We are seeking Structural Welder Aluminum for a large international defense contractor. This position will be working with the repair estimation department for estimating repairs on various classes of U.S. Naval Vessels.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Structural welders will be welding 5XXX aluminum plates aboard ships and fabrication shops.
2. You will be welding structural parts, deck plates, bulkheads.
3. Must be proficient in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW.
4. Weld tests will be 2G, 3G, 4G. Full penetration butt welds, ceramic and permanent backing.


Requirements for this role include:
1. Structural welders must have at least 4 years of structural welding experience with aluminum.
2. Must have own hood, leathers and hand tools.
3. Structural welders must be able to read and interpret welding symbols, prints, drawings and prints.
