NCW is currently seeking Marine electricians for work in Newport News, VA

$27-50 an hour depending on certifications and experience
Per diem of $178 while at this location
Most of the work is located in VA however candidates must be able to travel to other locations
Travel is paid between work locations

⁃ 5+ years of experience in the Marine/Shipyard applications
⁃ Ability to read and interpret shipboard electrical installation drawings, wiring tables, schematics, and work packages
⁃ Proficient in the use of basic electrical meters and test instruments
⁃ Will mount electrical equipment and wire ways, install cable penetrations in equipment, bulkheads, and decks
⁃ Ensure all electrical systems comply with maritime safety standards and regulatory requirements.
⁃ Must be able to climb up and down vertical ladders, bend and squat, kneel, and work in confined spaces and around moving equipment
⁃Familiarity with safety regulations in the marine industry (e.g., SOLAS, ABS, USCG).
⁃Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
⁃Relevant certification in marine electrical systems or electrical engineering (e.g., STCW, NEC).
