Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Stick Welder for barge repair projects along the Mississippi River. Responsibilities include executing high-quality 3G and 4G lap welds using 3/16" 6010 stick electrodes on carbon steel. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while working in a challenging waterfront environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience welding 3/16" 6010 electrodes in 3G & 4G positions.
Ability to pass visual inspections and maintain weld integrity.
Familiarity with barge repair and waterfront work conditions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must pass a 10-panel drug test, 7-year background check, and medical evaluation.
Welding certification/training in stick welding and safety protocols required.
