Position: VT/LP/MT Technician
Pay: $46/hour + $120/day per diem, paid 7 days per week

Overview:
United Energy Services is currently seeking qualified VT/LP/MT technicians for a long-term project in Newport News, VA. Candidates must be willing to work assigned shifts and must meet all certification and qualification requirements.

Qualifications:
Must pass a hair follicle drug test and a 7-year background check.

Required Skills:
VT/LP/MT Inspector Qualifications:
Documented qualification/certification to Level II requirements for ASNT's SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later.
Successful completion of written general theory and procedure-specific examinations for applicable NDT methods.
General examinations cover basic test principles relevant to the method.
Specific examinations encompass equipment, operating procedures, test techniques, specifications, codes, and acceptance criteria used in NDT procedures.
Practical examinations demonstrating ability to operate NDT equipment and analyze output information; additional practical exams will be administered by Newport News.
Passed a visual acuity exam using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of no less than 12 inches within the last year; additional vision exams will be conducted by Newport News.
Minimum of 4 years of documented experience as a certified inspector in the applicable inspection methods (inspections performed within the past 9 months).
Suppliers must provide current certification documentation, including training and experience records, results of all current examinations, and a record of all vision tests, available for the current and preceding 3-year certification period.
PT (II) inspectors must be Safety Harness and Respirator qualified.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.
MT (II) inspectors must pass a vision exam to distinguish between various colors; additional color distinction exams will be administered by Newport News.
