Trade Team is needing Structural Welders for Sturgeon Bay, WI

Must have at least 2 years' experience welding in the shipyard or industrial.

This position is located in Sturgeon Bay, WI

Welder Test with shipyard experience:

FCAW Carbon Steel, 2G, 3G, & 4G using .045 wire. All tests will be done on a 3/8" plate with steel backing strip. Responsible for knowing how to load wire into machine and basic safety knowledge of using a grinder. Tests will be inspected visually and each test will have 1 face and 1 root bend.

No Shipyard experience, See the test below:

Welders - Option #1 - FCAW Carbon Steel, 2G & 3G, with ceramic backing tape. 3/4" plate with a single bevel. Responsible for knowing how to load wire into machine and basic safety knowledge of using a grinder. Tests will be inspected to ABS and AWS criteria. Bend test.

Welders - Option #2 - If they are not comfortable with the ceramic backing the welder can choose to back gouge and weld the plate from both sides.

Must be able to provide a birth cert or passport & per diem documents (a lease/rental agreement in your name or 2 utility bills in your name)

Pay: $18 & $150 per diem for days worked
