NAES Staffing Services has immediate needs for AUX Operators to work in BOW, NH on a 6 month contract position. The plant is coal-fired, transitioning the facility away from coal and into a newer, cleaner energy future.

Pay rate is $50/hr and the daily per diem rate is $198. Selected employees will work a rotating dupont schedule with built in OT.

The Auxiliary Plant Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all power plant equipment

The Auxiliary Plant Operator controls, monitors, starts, stops, regulates, and evaluates boilers, turbine generators, and auxiliary equipment, and performs routine maintenance under the general supervision of the Working Foreman.

Observes, records, and interprets indications from equipment readings outside of the control room
Determines the need for and performs routine operational tests and adjustments on all power plant systems and components as required
Assists in the investigation of plant problems, incidents, accidents, and unusual events, and provide analyses, recommendations, reports, and appropriate follow-up plans
Performs switching and tagging and housekeeping duties as required
Conducts routine preventive and predictive maintenance on all systems and equipment; supports corrective maintenance efforts on selected equipment when properly trained or supervised
Monitor plant security utilizing systems provided
Insure proper �Lock-out/Tag-out� procedures and other safety procedures are followed
Support maintenance and operations activities as required, including assisting in the testing and maintenance of systems and equipment
Complete preventive maintenance work orders when needed
Reports directly to and seeks advice, counsel, guidance and direction from the Working Foreman concerning all assigned duties
Effectively communicates information to supervision and fellow operation and maintenance personnel, relative to the conditions of the plant equipment and performance, and provide suggestions for plant improvement
Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts with weekend and holiday work as required by schedules, work load and plant conditions
