Summary
Responsible for the management of multiple Capital Improvement Projects from design of the project through the various phases to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
� Manages the design and installation of multiple CIP projects from inception to completion, which includes establishing the scope of work, coordinating with stakeholder groups, scheduling, reviewing design drawings, bidding construction, commissioning, and project close out.
� Maintain relationships with engineering consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers. Review invoices and change orders.
� Collaborate with staff and management across the organization and with outside third parties to clearly identify, explain and communicate their project involvement, project goals, expectations, objectives, priorities, and tasks.
� Manage on-site contractors to ensure projects are completed as designed and the contractor maintains a safe work environment for themselves and plant employees.
� Manages engineering consultants and construction teams by providing guidance and direction as it relates to design and construction activities.
� Exercises judgment in scheduling and coordinating activities between various parties, planning and developing projects, and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications
� High School Diploma
� 6+ years� related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job

Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
� BS Engineering or equivalent
� 3+ years� experience in electric power plants
� Other electric utility experience helpful
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
� Experience in managing multiple projects and adhering to funding requirements
� Knowledge of the principles and practices of thermal, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic design, cost estimating.
� Proficiency in project engineering practices, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and closeout.
� Skill with software programs such as Adobe, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365
� Ability to handle a variety of project demands and tasks and the flexibility to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
� Good knowledge of industry related equipment standards and practices
� Skills in problem solving and decision making
� Skills in development of project budget, approval, and tracking
� Good skills in preparation of bid specifications and pre-bid walk-through
� Skills in reading and comprehending engineering blueprints
� Good communications skills
� Ability to read and interpret design documents, specifications, and plans
� A positive attitude with a solutions-based mindset.
