Key Project Requirements: 
•    4+ years of experience in a combined cycle power plant environment
•    Strong industrial wastewater and water treatment system experience
•    Ability to perform rounds, identify issues, and report to the Control Room Operator
•    Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of BOP (Balance of Plant) systems

Job Summary:
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Auxiliary Operator for a combined cycle plant in Poolville, TX. The Auxiliary Operator operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs instrumentation, mechanical and electrical equipment associated with the power plant. The Auxiliary Operator assists in the safe start-up, operation, and shutdown of plant equipment from outside the control room, strictly adhering to all safety and environmental rules and regulations to protect employees and public safety. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including auxiliaries and balance of plant systems, from outside the control room.
•    Execute start-up, operation, and shutdown of equipment and systems in alignment with approved plant procedures, technical manuals, and instructions from the Control Room Operator.
•    Continuously monitor and accurately record local operating parameters, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal safety and efficiency.
•    Assist Control Room Operators in managing the facility’s operations with minimal supervision and operate and maintain all plant equipment, including local operation via PLC panel interfaces. 
•    Proactively communicate any operational issues, unusual conditions, or equipment malfunctions to ensure seamless plant performance.
•    Efficiently use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log maintenance data and activities, ensuring alignment with the facility’s maintenance philosophy and operational goals.

Job Requirements:
•    In-depth knowledge of power plant operations including mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical systems required
•    Possess knowledge of all facets of power plant operations to include systems functionality, maintenance procedures and safety protocols.  
•    Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and policies related to plant operations and safety practices
•    Knowledge and understanding of equipment isolation and tagging procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders and stairs, reach, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds
•    Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in physically demanding environments
•    Must wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection

Education / Experience:
•    A high school diploma or GED is required.
•    4+ years of Auxiliary Operator experience in a combined cycle plant 
•    Familiarity with Siemens gas turbines is a plus
