APS Solutions is currently seeking an Outside Operator for 1 to 2 years located in the Southcentral region of the United States.
*Ideal Candidates must have large Coal plant experience.
PD: 135.00 / 7 days a week
Mobilization/Demob is offered

As an Outside Operator (Coal), you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our coal-fired power generation facility. Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and
troubleshooting various auxiliary and external systems and equipment to ensure the plant runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on coal handling systems, ash
handling equipment, cooling towers, and other ancillary plant systems
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with pumps, valves, conveyors, and other mechanical
equipment
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters to optimize plant performance and efficiency
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all maintenance activities and equipment
performance
- Collaborate with the control room and other plant personnel to coordinate operations and
maintenance activities
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure a safe and
sustainable workplace
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or vocational certification in power plant operations or industrial maintenance
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a coal-fired power plant or similar industrial facility
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for plant
operations and maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with plant personnel
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain any required plant-specific certifications
Working Conditions:
This is a field-based position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The work environment involves exposure to high noise levels, dust, and other industrial hazards. A flexible schedule, including rotating shifts and on-call duties, may be required to support 24/7 plant operations.
