Job Description
** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Data Visualization Engineer to fill a three- year assignment in the Birmingham, AL area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Data Visualization Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries and transforming/manipulating data sets.
Strong understanding of Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold tables).
Experience in integrating data from multiple sources and creating meaningful visualizations.
Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) - Note: Must be more advanced than rudimentary Power BI user; no spreadsheets.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually compelling data visualizations.
Write efficient queries to extract, transform, and manipulate data from various sources.
Implement and manage Medallion architecture, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold tables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data visualizations that meet business needs.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and analytics.
