Education & Experience Requirements:
� Education: Accredited bachelor�s degree in engineering.
� Experience: 7-10 years of related engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities:
� Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems.
� Support estimate preparation, develop design options, and prepare construction specifications.
� Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop:
o Design solutions
o Cost estimates
o Construction packages
� Ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety in all project phases.
� Understand and implement processes for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
� Collaborate with internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance activities.
� Utilize software applications for design processes and ensure adherence to industry and Southern Company design standards.
� Support the development of design standards and criteria for the system.
� Assist construction and maintenance teams with day-to-day operations.
� Estimate material requirements for projects and facilitate the transmission of construction packages and specifications.
