Title: Instrument Control System (ICS) Engineer

Job Summary:
PIC Group has a great opportunity for an experienced Instrument Control System (ICS) Engineer that will support the construction of a new LNG site powered by two 720MW CCGT engines. The ICS Engineer will report to the Sr. Site Lead, and play a critical role to ensuring that the instrument controls systems are correctly installed and operable. The ICS Engineer plays a pivotal role with the team to ensure the system controls are operating at peak efficiency and output, maximizing performance to the system. The ICS Engineer must have extensive working experience with GE controls systems, and be able to exhibit strong team work while supporting the project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the startup of GE control systems, utilizing hands-on expertise to ensure efficient and reliable system initialization and promptly addressing any issues that arise during the process.
• Monitor the overall health of control systems, identifying and implementing actions and procedures to maintain and improve the integrity of plant control systems.
• Oversee DCS systems to swiftly identify and resolve control and tuning issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Develop and implement safe, reliable, and efficient control strategies that adapt to the changing requirements of both existing and new plant processes.
• Provide clear and concise engineering analysis of control issues impacting plant safety, reliability, and efficiency, and develop solutions to address these issues.
• Recommend and advise on plant performance improvements, operational modifications, control system enhancements, and control network security testing.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both internal and external to the project, ensuring clear information exchange.
Job Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of GE large frame systems and GE control system operation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting logic drawings, electrical schematics, and interface cards.
• Solid understanding of control system installation and commissioning principles.
• Expertise in GE control system tuning and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with GE control system operational requirements.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and adherence to safety guidelines.
Education / Experience:
• High School Diploma required.
• Engineering Degree/Certification (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred
• 5+ years GE control system startup experience
• Prior working experience with Toolbox is required.
• OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training preferred
