** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineering Associate (Distribution) to fill a one- year assignment in the Athens, GA area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Rates: $35.00 - $42.00

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the distribution engineering field.
• Familiarity with distribution system design software and tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations governing distribution systems.
• Basic project management skills, including project planning and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
• Responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of distribution systems.
• This role involves collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of distribution networks.
• Assist in the design and planning of distribution systems, including electrical power grids, water supply networks, natural gas pipelines, or telecommunications infrastructure.
• Conduct technical analyses, such as load flow analysis, fault analysis, and voltage stability studies, under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Provide support for distribution system projects, including documentation, data analysis, and project management tasks.
• Ensure that distribution systems adhere to safety standards, industry regulations, environmental requirements, and applicable codes.
• Promote safety best practices and contribute to safety initiatives to mitigate hazards and prevent accidents.
• Serve as a point of contact for clients.
