Job Description
** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineering Associate (Distribution) to fill a one- year assignment in the Athens, GA area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Job Title: Engineering Associate (Distribution)
Work Location: Athens, GA
Rates: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour
Per diem is available if you qualify.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the distribution engineering field.
Familiarity with distribution system design software and tools.
Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations governing distribution systems.
Basic project management skills, including project planning and documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address technical challenges.
Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety.
Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
Responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of distribution systems.
This role involves collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of distribution networks.
Assist in the design and planning of distribution systems, including electrical power grids, water supply networks, natural gas pipelines, or telecommunications infrastructure.
Conduct technical analyses, such as load flow analysis, fault analysis, and voltage stability studies, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Provide support for distribution system projects, including documentation, data analysis, and project management tasks.
Ensure that distribution systems adhere to safety standards, industry regulations, environmental requirements, and applicable codes.
Assist in developing maintenance and asset management plans to extend the life and reliability of distribution infrastructure.
Participate in quality assurance practices, including design reviews, inspection processes, and testing.
Maintain and organize records, drawings, and documentation related to distribution systems.
Promote safety best practices and contribute to safety initiatives to mitigate hazards and prevent accidents.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers, project managers, field technicians, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, offering technical support and responding to inquiries related to distribution systems.
