Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Operator to support a 400MW Cogen site with 3 GE11N gas turbines, and 1 GE steam boiler.  The Outside Operator reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of all equipment of the site, as well its safe, effective and reliable operation.  The Outside Operator will perform operations functions, and preventive and corrective maintenance as required, applying prior work experience to this diverse power plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Performs troubleshooting and documentation and assists in the resolution of problems discovered on shift
•    Performs daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, troubleshooting, repair/replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and systems
•    Makes decisions and recommends appropriate repair techniques for plant equipment to peers, supervisors, plant management
•    Conducts excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance needed
•    Proficient in operating material handling equipment
•    Develops and implements plant operating procedures
•    Understands relationship of equipment to plant systems
•    May provide instruction and training to junior level employees
•    Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE.

Job Requirements:
•    Prior hands-on work experience in a combined cycle facility
•    Be able to manage multiple responsibilities and be comfortable with a changing workplace.
•    MS Office experience required as well as a high degree of computer proficiency
•    Be able to competently communicate with all levels of personnel.
•    Maintain a high level of organization and accuracy.
•    Prior working experience with water production, or waste water facilities
•    Must be a team player and work well with multiple personality types.
•    Demonstrated trouble shooting skills 

Physical Requirements:
•    Power Plant environment with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise.
•    Ability to safely climb ladders, and work in constricted spaces.
•    Ability to lift and carry materials up to 70 pounds.

Education / Experience:
•    High School diploma, trade school, military service, or technical school training required.
•    5+ years of experience in power plant machinery operations and/or maintenance with a fundamental knowledge of combined cycle gas turbine power plant.
•    5+ years working experience with water/waste water production.
•    Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
