Project Controls Manager (SMR) - Multi Locations w/in US Northeast

The ideal candidate will be familiar with multi-phase projects, engineering, and project management and capable of operating independently and proactively. The ideal Project Controls Manager will also have experience with power plant construction project management, testing, and commissioning. The Project Controls Manager will be part of a team executing a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring efficient completion of assignments.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
• The leadership, management, and oversight of all schedule-related portions of the project, delivering successful project outcomes in all areas, and maintaining high standards of professionalism, required from working in the nuclear industry.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparation of project reports including but not limited to scheduling updates and analysis, progress reporting, change management and various planning reports for management.
• Communicating effectively and professionally with everyone associated with the project.
• Adopting, maintaining, and promoting cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
• Ensuring realistic work programs are prepared, managed, monitored, reviewed, and updated according to the requirements of the project and contract.
• Using appropriate and effective communication methods such as recorded internal weekly progress meetings to communicate with the whole project team.
• Keeping line management appraised of potential risks and opportunities associated with the project.
• Maintaining a close working relationship with other schedulers and project managers in the company and all relevant departments to maximize support for the project and for opportunities to share knowledge.
• Coordinate and resolve items with Stakeholders, Project Partners or Vendors.
• Assist technical leadership in executing the project, including ensuring alignment of work plans to project objectives, forecasting and prioritization of upcoming work, and assessment of progress.
• Validation of project scope completion in specific areas of the project, including assessment of the completeness, quality, and sufficiency of deliverables.
• Mentor other Project team members
Minimum Requirements: All candidates MUST possess the following:
• Successful experience and performance of schedules and cost for projects.
• Experience training and supervising others in schedule and cost management methods.
• Strong working knowledge of scheduling tools, including Primavera P6.
• Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management capabilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

• Organization and planning: Demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multi-task to ensure efficient handling of the many tasks associated with the role.

Optional Additional Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
• Integrated Master Scheduling experience, especially for the Nuclear industry
• Experience in managing US government contracted Projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience managing Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Management (EPCM) schedules
