Location: Adelanto, CA
Pay: $70
Per Diem: $868/weekly
• Background check and drug screening required
• Mobilization and demobilization is offered
• Travel pay offered
• Duration is 52 weeks, or as required by client
Objectives:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation (fossil, nuclear, gas) and construction
• Seeking a consultant to provide oversight during construction of a new state of the art 500kV HVDC Converter Station project
• Ensure the successful and timely completion of the Adelanto Converter Station
project construction.
• Ensure all civil work performed is within the specified standard and specifications.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with the site safety program.
Scope of Work:
• Oversee and coordinate the civil construction activities to ensure alignment and
compliance with the jobsite policies, specifications, and all relevant documents.
• Provide written reports of site activities.
• When required, participate in investigations to include root cause, engineering, and
assist in providing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of Owner, Consultant, and Contractor communication.
• Ability to coordinate with additional field staff.
• OSHA 10 certification required with a familiarity of field construction safety.
• Strong understanding of safety controls, work authorizations that are used by
contractors, and material testing and construction inspections.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Significant English skills to compose correspondence, develop project documents,
proofread documents, and effectively communicate with supervisors, engineers,
clients, and other applicable staff personnel.
• Ability to review cost estimating, construction planning, scheduling, and equipment
requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents, procedures, specifications,
and drawings.
• Knowledge with root cause analysis and the ability to determine corrective actions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
