85-90+/hr + 1.5x OT + $166/day Per Diem
50/hrs per week and 2-3 week outage starting last week of October
Short term contract through outage and/or end of year.
Summary
Per Se is seeking a temporary Maintenance Manager for our client's Power Plant in the SW Chicago Suburbs. This new plant has (2) 1x1 natural gas fired combined cycle power blocks facility utilizing GE 7HA.02 Gas Turbines and A650 Steam Turbines, each in single shaft configuration with air cooled condensers.. Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance and will assist with the plant's outage at the end of October.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the facility to support achieving company and group goals.
Manage a work force that is motivated, flexible in skills, cross-trained and technically astute ensuring an effective and motivated team.
Assist in the development and maintenance of spare parts inventory with proper consideration for critical spares, capital spares, consumables, and on-time delivery of parts and materials required for outages and other maintenance activities.
Plans and coordinates plant maintenance as required to maximize plant availability.
Oversee the facility’s maintenance program and ensure that it is comprehensive, effective, and contains an effective mix of preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance.
Ensure that detailed and comprehensive work scopes are developed that support complete understanding of the work and development and application of safe work procedures.
Maintain records including work order completion, internal reports, third-party reports and OEM reports so that a complete and accurate record of work is maintained.
Manage contracts and contractors effectively with appropriate attention to contractor safety and performance.
Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective maintenance organization.
Make expeditious appropriate decisions to non-routine plant operating conditions.
Respond to forced outages on a 24/7 basis, develop and execute recovery plans as necessary.
Preferred Skills and Expertise
Proven managerial/supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience indicating effective communication skills, analytic ability, detail orientation, and ability to make decisions and meet deadlines.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
Extensive knowledge of gas and steam technologies preferred.
Experience with operations and maintenance of gas turbine, steam turbine, generators, heat recovery steam generators, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices, controls and monitoring.
Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly become proficient with computerized maintenance management systems.
