3 year contract supporting 2 simple cycle builds with large utility owner in OKC. Competitive w2 hourly rate with 1.5x OT, $800/week per diem, health benefits, PTO/Holidays.
Must have strong p6 skills. Ecosys experience is a major plus. Must have experience scheduling critical/complex construction projects in energy sector with preferred values $50 mil and up. Cost control knowledge.
We are seeking an experienced P6 Project Scheduler to join our team, focusing on major construction projects within the fossil power industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Primavera P6 scheduling, with a thorough understanding of project management principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and experience with Ecosys is considered a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Ensure that all phases of the construction projects are accurately planned and tracked.
Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance against planned milestones. Identify and report on deviations, potential risks, and delays.
Resource Management: Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively. Track resource utilization and adjust schedules as necessary to optimize efficiency and project outcomes.
Reporting: Generate and analyze schedule reports for stakeholders, including progress reports, forecast updates, and critical path analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data and input. Facilitate communication and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all scheduling activities, changes, and project documentation. Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that could impact project timelines and deliverables.
Software Utilization: Utilize Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and Ecosys (if applicable) to manage and analyze scheduling data. Stay updated on best practices and software advancements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling for major construction projects, preferably within the fossil power industry.
Skills:
Expertise in Primavera P6 for project scheduling and management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Ecosys (preferred but not required).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
