Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for 2 experienced Substation Control Designers to work in the Birmingham area. The successful candidates must live in the Birmingham area and be willing to travel to substations as needed. The schedule will be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 in office or on job site.

Rates: $40.00- $78.00 depending on experience level.

Experience with Substation Design work
AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical experience
Familiar with client tools and the Autodesk toolset
Familiar with Substation layouts
Familiar with Relay Panel assemblies
Understanding of how to read design prints
Able to compare project drawings to the client Standard
Effective communication skills and able to provide detailed reports
Ability to travel throughout the company footprint to perform project reviews
Self-motivated and able to take tasks and complete them with little oversight

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
