Job Description
** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to fill a three- year assignment in the Birmingham, AL/ Remote area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Requirements:
The individual will be expected to work in the office while onboarding and getting familiar with our process and procedures. After that time, they can work remotely
Professional Engineering registration is a plus, but not required
Design experience in transmission structures is a plus, but not required
Minimum 5 years of design experience of industrial and/or commercial structural engineering
Experience with analyzing steel connections
Proficient with MathCAD and STAAD Pro
Working knowledge with ANSYS
Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI codes
Computer skills to be proficient with standard office software applications
Interpersonal skills sufficient to build working relationships with peers, internal customers and the general public
Time management skills sufficient to manage multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines
Written and verbal communication skills sufficient to satisfactorily complete project documentation and to function effectively in a team environment
