Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an exciting opportunity to grow your career and apply today for a leading company in the plastic manufacturing sector in Suwanee, GA. Working under the supervision and direction of the Modifications Supervisor, the Molding Machine Technician will assemble, repair, and test plastic injection molding machinery in a team environment. The Molding Machine Technician will also help new hires by training them in the modification process of equipment and is required to follow the guidelines set forth in the Modification Technician Guidelines. Travel may be required to customer or other client facility as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:           
•    Handles fitting parts, wiring, soldering, tubing, and installing options in sub-assembly and final assembly.
•    Assembles hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components.
•    Installs power and water hook-ups and oil filling.
•    Prepares sub-assemblies and related parts for painting.
•    Paints machines and assemblies as needed.
•    Performs fabrication and welding.
•    Prepares and tags machinery for customer shipment.

Job Requirements:        
•    Demonstrates correct company processes and standard operating procedures to new hires.
•    Acts as a mentor to new technicians.
•    Will eventually become a leader of the automation modification team and then begin training employees on those as well. Overall callbacks per FSE by brand.
•    Performs building and equipment maintenance.
•    Safely use and dispose of cleaning and protective solvents.
•    Utilizes problem-solving skills and team members as resources.
•    Responsible for documentation, part stocking, and locating materials.
•    Performs incoming part inspection per drawing.
•    Working knowledge to fabricated and fit tubing
•    Working knowledge to rig and operate cranes and material handling devices.
•    Experience working with high and low voltage electrical wiring and connections.
•    Proficient at reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic drawings and schematics.
•    Working knowledge to use mechanical, electrical, and machinist measuring tools and gages.

Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to analyze problems on running or downed machines, sometimes in a hot, dusty or noisy environment.
•    Sitting at workstation for extended periods of time viewing monitors
•    Working on keyboard and using computer mouse
•    Climbing ladders (up to 12ft)
•    General shop conditions, i.e., dust, noise, etc.
•    Assembly may require climbing ladders, working off of platforms, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
•    May also require standing for long periods.

Education / Experience:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required
•    Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing training or certification preferred
