The Refueling and Remote Handling (RnRH) Manager leads a group of engineers that is responsible for the design and analysis of remotely operated tools and equipment for fuel and reactor module handling operations. These operations include remote disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of vessels and internals during reactor refueling activities, and involves remote underwater handling of nuclear fuel and other radioactive materials. The mission of the group is to provide efficient, safe, and reliable tools, equipment and processes that ensure refueling outage performance objectives are achieved. The group interacts with the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) design groups, the reactor building (RXB) design groups, plant operations, regulatory affairs, QA, and other internal teams to ensure applicable requirements are met and interfaces are accounted for in the design.
