Thermal Performance Engineer
Project: Power Uprate Project – Turbine BOP (BOP + Turbine experience Required)
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Duration: Initially 11 months (could be up to 2 years)
Schedule: 40 Hours per week
PD: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each way ($1,000 total)
This role requires extensive expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to evaluate and enhance the efficiency and reliability of power generation systems.
• Support the monitoring and analysis of the thermal performance of power plants, including turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and other thermal systems.
• Develop and validate advanced performance models to assess system efficiency, identify areas of improvement
• Support improvement projects, including upgrades, modifications, and retrofits, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
• Maintain comprehensive thermal performance databases, monitoring systems, and software tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Provide expert technical support for plant operations, troubleshooting complex thermal performance issues, and recommending corrective actions
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities related to thermal performance initiatives.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• BOP experience and Turbine Experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in thermal performance engineering within the power generation industry
