[Project Engineer] (PT/Hybrid) RFQ 1318 Principal Engineer - Emergency Planning - Savannah River Nuclear - Closes 3/10/25

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is looking for (1) Principal Engineer - Emergency Planning Hazard Assessment Analyst.

Will close to submissions on 3/10 5:00PM EST.

Education & Experience: Typically, a degree in applicable science or engineering discipline or Emergency/Disaster Preparedness with relevant work experience - Ph.D. and 5+ years of experience. OR MS degree with 8+ years of experience, OR BS degree with 10+ years of experience

- Candidate must demonstrate, through support to the DOE complex or the commercial nuclear industry, a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in emergency planning (or have a Ph.D. with a minimum of five (5) years of experience).
- Previous experience with implementation of DOE O 151.1 Comprehensive Emergency Management System and its implementing Guide DOE G 151.1-2 Technical Planning Basis is required.
- Minimum requirements include knowledge of Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ), Emergency Action Level (EAL) evaluations, and consequence assessments using computer codes such as ALOHA, HotSpot, and/or EpiCode.
- Previous experience authoring EPHAs, developing supporting/related documents, reviewing EPHAs and related documents, AND ensuring EPHAs and related documents comply with applicable rules and regulations is required.
- Experience using ALOHA and HotSpot is required

Nice to Have:
- Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
- Previous relevant experience at SRS is preferred.

PF-81 Evaluation Criteria:
� Price and Cost to Company: 20%
� Technical Acceptability: 80%

Duration of the Contract: ONE (1) YEAR WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR OPTION YEARS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED JOB TITLE
� Option Periods are not guaranteed and are executed at the discretion of the hiring manager.
� Yearly options will automatically include a 3.5% escalation.

Estimates Hours Per Year:
1200 ST / 200 OT

Anticipated Work Schedule:
6:00a-4:30 Mon-Thurs..This is a PT position

Onsite or Remote? Onsite. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense. Up to 50% Hybrid with approval.
