We are partnering up with a DOE Contractor who is supporting a large nuclear project sitting out of their Greenville, SC office. They are seeking an onsite/hybrid remote Structural Design Engineer to join their team.
Schedule: 75% remote with 25% travel to Greenville, SC. The initial orientation and training is 3 weeks onsite in Greenville. After Orientation travel is 1 week on site out of the month.
· This position is focused primarily in steel or concrete structures. They are primarily using STAADPro and RISA to perform structural analysis. South Carolina is a high seismic zone so experience in seismic analysis is valued.
· They are looking for candidates with solid design and calculation experience on large projects.
Responsibilities:
Conduct construction document reviews as required.
Plan, organize, and coordinate structural engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects.
Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications relating to seismic and wind analyses, foundation design, structural framing analyses and design, and bracing analyses and design.
Experience in renovating/modifying existing facilities is required.
Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
