Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Mechanical Process Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC

Mechanical Process Engineer-
The Mechanical Process Engineer will provide engineering support services to include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment, Pipe, and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.
Education/Yrs. Of Experience:
BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Skills/Experience:
Five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
Must demonstrate knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements.
Must have the ability to walk-down systems in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
Other Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
At times, may have to travel off-site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
