Job Opportunity: Nuclear Design Modification Engineer (Structural)

Location: Columbia, AL
Duration: Two-Year Onsite Contract

System One is hiring a Nuclear Design Modification Engineer with specialized expertise in Structural design. Join our team to support the development of design modification packages for an existing power generation facility. This role offers per diem and mobilization/demobilization support, where applicable.

Responsibilities
- Design and analyze modifications for existing power plants and new plant systems.
- Perform calculations, develop isometrics, and create detailed design recommendations and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive design change packages in compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial nuclear design modifications, including:
- Developing design modification packages.
- Performing calculations, specifications, and analysis.
- Recent experience with design standard IP-ENG-001 (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
