Job Opportunity: Nuclear Design Modification Engineer (Electrical/I&C Design)
Location: Columbia, AL
Duration: Two-Year Onsite Contract
System One is hiring Nuclear Design Modification Engineers with specialized expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) design. Join our team to support the development of design modification packages for an existing power generation facility. This role offers per diem and mobilization/demobilization support, where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze modifications for existing power plants and new plant systems.
- Perform calculations, develop isometrics, and create detailed design recommendations and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive design change packages in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial nuclear design modifications, including:
- Developing design modification packages.
- Performing calculations, specifications, and analysis.
- Recent experience with design standard IP-ENG-001 (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
