[Construction Engineer] Project Construction Engineer

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 8 - 10 years of practical experience in construction engineering or related areas. An associate's degree and 10 - 12 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent. A high school diploma and 12 - 16 years of practical experience would also be considered equivalent.

Top Skills:
-A general knowledge of construction in the nuclear commercial industry.
-Training in planning and scheduling is beneficial to appreciate the planning and scheduling outputs.
-Leadership training is essential ingredient in methods of improvement, total quality, and re-engineering.

Nice to Have:
-Demonstrate a working knowledge of various industry installation codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, OSHA).
-Ability to develop installation/modification work instructions and work plans per Asset Suite.
-Ability to perform job hazard analysis for construction activities.
-Candidate must qualify as a radiological worker and enter contaminated areas wearing the appropriate protective clothing, full and half face respirator, plastic hood / plastic suit.
-Candidate must be physically fit, able to withstand an outdoor environment and perform walk downs that may include climbing.
-Previous SRNS or other DOE experience is preferred.
-Previous experience performing work planning at SRNS, job hazards analysis utilizing SRNS procedures and requirements is preferred.
-Minimum 2 years supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering or task relevant programs or projects and/or a combination of education and experience equaling 5 years.
