Meridian Service Group is looking for Procedure Writer
Great compensation to include per diem, travel and benefits.
Develop, review, revise and maintain Operations, Administrative and other station procedures; ensure that they are technically correct and in accordance with human factor principles. Ensure documents comply with station and regulatory requirements and commitments. Interpret complex tasks, drawings, manuals, instructions, guidelines and requirements and convert them to an easily understandable sequence of steps to be used by Energy Northwest personnel and contractors. Participate as part of the team to improve station performance.
Technical: 1) Create and revise station Operations, Administrative and other station procedures. 2) Implement recommendations from Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and other station organizations. 3) Ensure station procedures comply with and implement the requirements of License Bases Documents (including Columbia Generating Station’s Technical Specifications, ODCM, LCS and FSAR). 4) Ensure station procedures are consistent with source documents (station drawings, vendor manuals, License Bases Documents, state and federal codes, etc.). 5) Ensure changes are consistent with ALARA, chemical, environmental, and industrial safety requirements and practices. 6) Prepare and implement Procedure Change Notices. 7) Provide technical expertise on procedure issues. 8) Resolve procedure issues with reviewers. 9) Develop test methodologies to ensure compliance with standards, requirements and commitments. 10) Assist Engineering to determine correct operation and testing of systems. 11) Select appropriate test equipment consistent with engineering calculations and manufacturer’s requirements. 12) Incorporate FAO and OER recommendations. 13) Review design changes for procedural impact.
Administrative: 1) Ensure station documents comply with administrative requirements of the Site wide PRO series. 2) Disposition and implement CAP corrective actions and other action items as assigned. 3) Support planned and forced outages. 4) Develop and revise procedures in support of other organizations. 5) Serve as a Qualified Procedure Reviewer. 6) Represent the Maintenance Department during review processes. 7) Recommend and implement changes to administrative processes. 8) Coordinate with customers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of products.
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university AND 8 years of experience at a commercial nuclear power plant, 4 of which must be in operations and/or include procedure writing; OR a high school diploma or GED and 12 years of experience at a commercial nuclear power plant, four of which must be in operations and/or include procedure writing.
Nuclear power plant systems and components.
1) Technical skills commensurate with associated discipline.
2) Good written and oral communication and social skills. Ability to understand opposing views.
3) Excellent command of the English language.
4) Ability to visualize, analyze and comprehend situations.
5) Ability to interpret complex tasks, drawings, manuals, instructions, guidelines and requirements and convert them to an easily understandable sequence of steps.
6) Good organizational skills.
7) Ability to work on multiple tasks and under schedule pressures and changing priorities.
9) Ability to work as a member of a cohesive team to formulate solutions to complex issues.
