DUTIES:
Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules, and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.
 Applies technical experience in Industrial Hygiene (IH) and uses other technical resources to resolve complex problems.
 Incorporates advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination of oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning.
 Provides leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area of IH.
 Provides direction and position responsibility, both inside and outside department lines for programs seeking new approaches to problems and new application of existing IH principles.
 Evaluates the results of program assessments and prepares reports and recommendations based on these evaluations.
 Identifies and recommends improvements where established technology components and methodology are inadequate for solution.
 Keeps informed of the advancement of technology as applied through area of expertise.
 Communicates results and objectives verbally and in manuscript form to customers, colleagues and management.
 Maintains expertise in area of specialty through technical literature and involvement in national professional organizations.
 Demonstrates commitment to quality concepts by active participation and successful implementation of department initiatives.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
 B.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related physical or biological science, or special studies and training in these disciplines and 10-15 years related experience, or
 M.S. in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related physical or biological science and 8-12 years related experience, or
 Ph.D. in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related physical or biological science and 5-10 years related experience.
 Understands and applies advanced IH theories, concepts and art; working knowledge of related disciplines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Liquid Waste shall review the Subcontractor personnel resumes and ensure individual has familiarity required to successfully execute required task in the defined time period
WORK HOURS:
The 40-hour work week schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules.
SECURITY:
A security clearance is not required.
