Job Experience and Education:

BS degree in Chemistry or another field of science, with a minimum of 12 semester hours in Chemistry required.
Experience and competency in the use, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation/equipment; knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques.
Experience and competency in the proper operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Broad knowledge of analytical, inorganic, environmental, and water chemistries.
Detailed knowledge of chemical treatment methods and water treatment plant operations is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems, read and understand schematic diagrams, and identify water process issues in the plant.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must be able to adapt to changing work requirements and work with limited supervision.
Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Once trained, this position requires five 8-hour workdays, including weekend and holiday support.
Must be available for callouts, nights, overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required.
