Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a WTP Program Manager opportunity in Richland, WA to support DOE Hanford.

Organization: Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP)

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA. This position may be telework eligible.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site requires general support services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) to provide support in the following areas:

DOE requires expert technical and programmatic advice in the implementation of robust decision-analytical processes including the development of decision papers (memorandum), preparation of decision trees and tables, Advice on technical decisions, analysis of risks, development of roadmaps and decision frameworks, and assistance in framing, making, and implementing decisions by DOE. Ongoing work is focused on:
• Recommending decisions to DOE associated with the design of the High Level Waste (HLW) Vitrification facility.
• Resolution of emerging challenges from integrating facilities that support the Direct-Feed LAW mission.
• Providing expert advice to DOE on proposed technical approaches and will also include expert evaluations of assessments and determinations reached as a result of sources used for pricing and cost estimates.
• Professional assistance in making and implementing decisions to be relied upon by DOE’s senior leadership and will be used for obtaining subsequent support and approval via the approval process established and required by DOE’s Washington DC headquarters staff and professional experts.
• Mission support tasks for ORP senior management/staff also includes development of white papers and other programmatic documents in areas related to the Consent Decree and Tri-Party Agreement, negotiations with Environmental Regulators, ORP budget, strategic planning and communications, and public affairs.
• Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• Education – BS/BA degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Prior training and certifications as a Federal Project Director II and Federal Contracting Officer Representative II.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES
• Ten years’ experience as a Federal Project Director with experience implementing DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
• Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities.
• Working level knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $150,000 and $400,000 annually.
