Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Telecom Engineer opportunity to support an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project.
Work Location: Greenville, SC
Telecom Engineer-
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video.
Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks.
Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required.
Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates.
Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar accredited engineering B.S. with a minimum of ten (10) or more years experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
Must have communications engineering design.
Working knowledge of Federal (including DOE Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable
