Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Civil Structural Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Civil Structural Engineer -
Duties:
The Civil Structural Engineer will provide design and construction oversight of structural engineering tasks on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Structural engineering tasks include analysis of structural systems for both static and dynamic loads using manual computation and computer programs; design of concrete structures; design of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber and composite structures; foundation and anchorage design; structural analysis for impact, overpressure, and other accident conditions; preparation of CSI specifications; and review of vendor documents.
Education & Years of Experience:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Skills/Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Working knowledge of STAAD. Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.
Ability to walk-down systems in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in 2D MicroStation Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD).
Other Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
At times, will be required to travel off-site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
