ANR Group Inc is accepting resumes for an Electrical Systems Engineer Located in Richland, WA.

Initially anticipated to be a one-year assignment with the potential for extension. The hourly rate range for this position is $34-$74 per hour (plus full benefits) with overtime paid at time and ½ for hours worked over 40 in one week. Client allows for reimbursement of mobilization, daily per diem and M&IE, monthly trips home and demobilization.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK – SPECIFIC

• Primary engineering activities will be to provide the engineering design for HLW electrical systems and equipment for the entire facility in preparation for procurement and construction.
• This work includes the extensive use of ETAP and may include use of SETROUTE and BlockDraw for the HLW design.
• Must have extensive understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line drawings, schematics, electrical equipment layout and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
• Performs special tasks and calculations/studies. Conducts checking as required. Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for applicability to electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks.
• Ability to cope with conflicting deadline, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
• Must be a self-starter and capable of independent creative design, with direction, and industry proven concepts, and procedures.
• Must work well with others, other disciplines, and groups.
• Must have experience with an electronic Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and be able to input and complete corrections to the data base.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team.
• Must be able to work well with other disciplines.
• Must know how to use computer programs such as the Microsoft WINDOWS suite of programs.
• Must be able to lead or supervise small groups of engineers, designers, and technologists.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 9 years of related experience.
• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
• Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
• US Citizenship Required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on Microsoft office programs.
• Knowledge & application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and electrical equipment layouts.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment specification and material requisitions process, and developing procurement documentation in BPS.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with ETAP and other industry wide electrical system design tools, such as CAD 2D and cable designing and routing software.
• Experience with an electronic Cable Management System. Excellent oral & written communications skills.
• EIT Certification or able to obtain within 12 months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 7 years of related experience PE Registration.
• Lead or supervisory experience.
• Previous DOD or DOE project experience.
